GLOBE VALVES :

Globe valves are widely used in the pipe lines to regulate fluid flow rate in both on / off and throttling purpose. The location of the valve disc in relation to the valve seat allows or restricts flow. High temperature and pressure resistance graphite  packings are used in this kind of valves.

NOVA-MAR Globe Valves are designed as Straight or  Angle form , Stop Type or SDNR ( Screw Down Non Return ) with or without spring in GG25,GGG40.3,GSC25 and Rg5.

GATE VALVES  :

Gate valves are characterised as having either a rising or a non-rising  stem and are produced at NOVA-MAR Valves according to  DIN 3204 and DIN 3216 standards. Rising stem provides a visual indication of valve position. Non-rising stem  gate valves are used where vertical space is limited. Gate valves must be used as fully open or fully closed position where the vibration does not exist in the system. As they are designed as this purpose gate valves are not suited for  regulating flow.

NOVA-MAR Gate Valves  can be produced  with indicator, double threaded stem, draining plug in GG25, GGG40, GGG40.3 and GSC25.

CHECK VALVES :

 The main task of check valves  in the pipe lines   is to prevent the  possibility of reverse flow of the fluid  when the  fluid stops. Lift type check valve closes very fast because of the movement of its disc and prevent to  reverse flow.With this way, it  minimizes the water impacts in the system. They are also known as globe type of check valves and they are installed in the pumping side in the  line.

Check valves are used for the following purposes :

- to protect of  equipments  that can be effected by reverse flow such as flowmeters, strainers and control valves,
- to prevent of flooding,
- to check the pressure alterations,
-  to prevent of reverse  flow on system shutdown,
- to  release of air  conditions,
-  to prevent of under gravity.

NOVA-MAR Check Valves are available in GG25,GGG40,GGG40.3 and GSC25.

BALL CHECK VALVES :

Ball Check  Valve is a  valve in which the disc, the movable part to stop the flow, is a circular ball. When pressure is pushed out on the ball, it is moved off its seat   allowing fluid to pass through the inlet. When the fluid pressure decreases, the ball slides back into its position on the inlet  seat. Ball check valves are only used in liquid systems and can be produced  in GG25,GGG40,GGG40.3 or GSC25 at NOVA-MAR Valves.

SWING CHECK VALVE :

Swing Check Valves are used for preventing the reverse flow of fluid in the liquid system.They are especially used in the pumping  stations and their task is to stop back flow  when the pump is out of service becuase of any reason . In the system,  the pressure of the fluid forces the disc to hinge upwords allowing flow through the valve.Reverse  flow will cause the disc to shut against the seat and stop the fluid going back down the pipe. When there is no flow in the system, the weight of the flap is responsible for the closure of the valve; in some cases, closure may be supported by the use of a weighted lever. NOVA-MAR Swing Check Valves are Standard or with lever & weight types in GG25, GGG40, GGG40.3 and GSC25.

STORM VALVES :

Storm valves are  used in marine applications  and  they are  used on the waste circuits. They allow fluid to flow in one direction. Ductile iron, Bronze or Carbon Steel NOVA-MAR Storm Valves are produced as Straight or Angle Form with or without closing device.

STRAINERS :

Strainers are used for protecting  equipments such as meters, pumps, and control valves from the solid particules in the system and installed  their side.  They have stainless steel filters and inside of  filters can be cleant periodically or can be changed with the new one by removing the plugs on the valve.As this reason, there is a plug on the bonnet or bottom of the body depends on the type of strainer.Filter’s  location in the valve allows  high particulate collecting capacity and minimum pressure loss. Y Type Strainers are used mainly where small amounts of solid particulate are expected and where clean out will be infrequent.

MUD BOXES :
The function of  Mud Boxes are like  strainers .The screen is in the form of a basket with a lifting handle so that all particulate captured and retained by the screen can be easily removed for disposal. They are intended for applications  where larger amounts of solid particulate are expected and where clean out will be frequent.
